WILLIAM R. PLETCHER

William R. Pletcher is head of Integer’s Trial and Litigation practice. Will has over a decade of federal court trial experience in district courts across the United States and in California state courts, including some of the nation’s most significant recent environmental, antitrust, securities and trade, and commercial matters. Will’s goal at Integer Law Corporation is to foster a values-driven law firm, with core principles of uncompromising integrity and ethics and service to clients, the profession, and the community.

Before joining Integer, Will gained first-chair trial experience at the United States Department of Justice, United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California as a federal prosecutor in Oakland. Will served as the lead federal prosecutor for dozens of cases including narcotics trafficking, financial and economic crimes, criminal immigration, asset forfeitures, firearms offenses, and childhood exploitation crimes.

Will became a litigator under the tutelage of some of the United States’ leading litigators at one of the country’s largest law firms as a member of the American Lawyer’s Litigation Department of the Year and served as the senior litigation associate supervising a dozen litigators in the Los Angeles office of one of the country’s Top 10 Wall Street law firms.
Will also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Kim McLane Wardlaw on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

With this background as an attorney for the United States and in handing substantial “bet the company” matters at leading law firms, Will is able to provide clients sophisticated legal services.

Will has represented some of the world’s leading financial, technology, and industrial companies, including Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., Asarco, Inc., GMAC Mortgage Corporation, Gemstar-TV Guide International, Inc., Hynix Semiconductor, Inc., Merck & Co., Nike, Inc., The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, LLC, Steinway Musical Instruments, Inc., and Wellpoint Health Networks, Inc.

PUBLIC SERVICE

A core component of Will’s career has been dedicated to providing legal services to those in need who cannot otherwise afford a lawyer. Among many matters, he has secured a judgment for a 95-year old widow defrauded of her life savings, represented an appellant on death row, and assisted victims of human trafficking. Will has been recognized for his public service by the State Bar of California, the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, and Bet Tzedek Legal Services.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Will received his Bachelor of Arts degree in history, summa cum laude with honors in the liberal arts, from the Ohio State University (1997) and his Juris Doctor from Leland Stanford University (2000), where he served as an editor on the Stanford Law & Policy Journal. He was named the Ohio State University College of Humanities Most Outstanding Student in 1997.

Will is a member of the State Bar of California, the Central District of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
